These mats provide insulation, water conservation, weed control, and insect protection for plants. Water directly over the mat to prevent hydro shock or easily remove for feeding and top dressing. Two holes in the mat allow for tubes and an automated watering system.
They are compacted using a needle punch method then finished with a thin coat of 100% natural latex. We also carry mats without a latex coating that are thicker and more insulating but slightly less durable.
These all natural mats made from coco coir are rich in essential nutrients, (iron, copper, zinc, magnesium) biodegradable and compostable. Available in 10-inch and 12-inch diameters, our mats are designed to top our 3 & 5 Gallon Pots respectively.

Useful Life- We recommend using this product indoors. Will last approximately 1-2 years.
End Life- 100% Natural, biodegradable and compostable. Able to throw it out with trash but best to return it to nature via a compost pile.
- Orders ship in water resistant cardboard boxes or Kraft paper mailers. Both are biodegradable and compostable.
- We use compostable Kraft tape as opposed to the current norms, plastic tape and so called "biodegradable" reinforced tape which contains fiberglass.
- Our shipping labels are compostable and thermally printed rather than with ink.
- Vegetable based inks are used on our packaging, stickers, tags and pamphlets.
- Our stickers, tags and pamphlets are biodegradable and compostable.
